WildStars: A Night Under the Yallingup Sky

Astrophotography is all about timing, patience, and a bit of luck. During a trip to Yallingup, Western Australia, the stars aligned, literally.

Just a short walk from my accommodation, I found the perfect spot, softly illuminated by the nearby lights.

With five uninterrupted hours to explore and shoot, I experimented with compositions and techniques, something I’d never had the luxury to do before. It was a mindful, immersive experience.

The highlight of the night came when I stumbled upon a patch of wildflowers surrounded by smooth pebbles and shells. The contrast between the delicate blooms, polished rocks, and the Milky Way above was perfection.
